Who I Am

I have spent the last 20 years working with, and studying, women.  I am fascinated by the fact that our society's concept of beauty, as dictated by media and pop-culture, has a terribly negative effect on the average woman's self-image from a very early age. I have dedicated my career to teaching women the art of self-nurture.  Through embracing the philosophy of self-nurture women gain self-awareness, self-acceptance, and  self-esteem.

 

It is my desire to see more women learn the art of self-nurture, thereby learning to truly like themselves and learning enjoy their lives as the natural beauties they already are. I hope that, through my website, my services, and my products, I may be an instrument through which women gain a positive sense of self.

 

My Background

Licensed Master Aesthetician since 1991.

Worked under such industry legends as Diane Young, Mark Traynor, and Maurice Stein

Contracted my expertise to a regional hospital to open a medi-spa.

Owned a successful holistic spa for more than a decade before re-locatimg

Certified Aroma-therapist.

Registered Yoga Teacher with the American Yoga Alliance.

Hold a BA in Communications.

Trained aspiring models in NYC for 6 years.

Trained and extensively experienced in various advanced make-up techniques including natural, paramedical, fashion, bridal, and theatric.

Formulated, perfected, and continue to handcraft a line of holistic, natural beauty products.

 

My Philosophy

We are all beautiful beings.  Sadly, we do not all see ourselves as such.  We forget that beauty has nothing to do with size, shape, color, or age.  True beauty, natural beauty, radiates from within. We all possess the same ultimate desire: to be comfortable with--even like--the image looking back at us in the mirror. To do so, we must remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and that the most important eye is our own.  Feeling beautiful results from practicing the art of self-nurture: taking care of our entire being--mind, spirit, and body. 

 

My Goals

I strive to provide you with both the vital information and the luxuriously necessary tools needed to focus on your journey through self-discovery, self-acceptance, and self-compassion. 

 

I aim to help you discover your true beauty potential. 

 

I desire for you to enjoy your journey, for you to gain self-esteem and self-love and, most importantly, for you to positively know that the image gazing back in the mirror personifies true beauty.

 

I hope to learn about you--the client--on all levels; mind, body, and sirit so that I may "prescribe" the correct "spa-scription" of custom-blended products, suggest an appropriate natural beauty routine, and make accurate lifestyle recommendations.

We are open by appointment only Tuesday – Saturday. We give our undivided attention to each of our guests, therefore services require advance appointments.
